Application to Cremate

Part of the documentation that we need to carry out a cremation here in NSW Australia is an “Application to Cremate”

This is where, the Executor of the Estate or the Next of Kin applies to the state, to cremate a passed away loved one.

This is a legal document, which needs to be signed off on by a Justice of the Peace.

The Funeral Director in this case will do it as he is a Justice of the Peace.

  1. Please fill out the form below to apply using a Mobile Phone or Tablet.
  2. You will need to take a picture of your Drivers Licence (or any other Legally Accepted Document, clearly showing your face) and sign using the touch screen on your device.
  3. The Funeral Director will then Video Call you to verify your identity with the Drivers Licence or any other Legally Accepted Document that has been submitted, clearly showing your face.
